This addition to an existing mid-century modern residence was envisioned to capture views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Bay while creating an entry that seamlessly connects the two volumes for an expansion of the living space.  Sliding glass doors paired with wood siding that weaves in and out of the home emphasize the indoor/outdoor living experience that this family was seeking.  A new entry sequence, rear patio and deck provide areas for play and lounging while large overhangs mimic the original design and provide substantial shade in the warmest summer months.
